Travel photography | The must take selfies

09:00

Are you traveling abroad this year? Or even traveling within your own country? Nowadays with the advanced technology of phone cameras, and the craze of the selfie, it's an everyday common occurrence that we see holiday selfies snaps plastered all over our Facebook feeds. At Oh Lilla we have to admit that we love a good selfie and what better than a holiday selfie. We've put together a list of the must take selfies for when you go on your holidays this year! If we've forgotten any you will have to let us know!

The 'See you later' selfie.
This could be at the airport, drinking a nice celebratory cocktail before making your way to the gate to board your plane. Dressed up in your airport gear, usually consisting of a large floppy hat, pretty little sandals and a maxi dress. Or you could go the complete opposite and dress down in your trackies and your boyfriends hoodie - either way is good! It's the thought behind the selfie that matters - "See you later, suckers"

The 'Just tanning by the pool' selfie.
This pretty much just consists of your feet! Perhaps slip in a nice cold glass of vodka and coke (or whatever takes your fancy). It's the typical selfie that gets rubbed in people's faces. It's the ever so not sly way of saying, "haha, you're at work and I'm not. I'm sipping piña colada and sleeping in the sun whilst you're filing paperwork".

The 'our first night' selfie.
This usually consists of looking as red as a lobster from trying too hard to tan on your first night, dressed up in something pretty and posing on the balcony of your hotel room.

The 'beach day' selfie.
Standing on the beach in a pretty bikini, drink in one hand, sun shining and sea in the background. This is the selfie of all holiday selfies. The one to really rub it in peoples faces. The one that you make all the effort with on Instagram, getting the filter right and using all the right hashtags. This is the one you look back on and feel a sense of nostalgia.

The 'Definitely catching some rays now' selfie.
Usually towards the end of the holiday, when you realise you've got some discreet tan lines you want to ever so sly-ly show off.

The 'Our last day' selfie.
Consisting of one big sad, TANNED, face.
