Top summer tips & must haves // for Mummy's
18:00We thought we'd do a post purely for mummy's to think about mummy for a change. You spend summer thinking constantly about factor 50 for the kids, sun hats for the kids, jelly shoes for the kids... what about things for yourselves?
We've been thinking about our top tips and must haves for you this summer, based on what we think are wonderful products and have been used by ourselves, for a true review.
1. Make-up
You don't really want a lot, especially if you're abroad or having a heat-wave.
We only really use a concealer on those spotty, hot days instead of a foundation (We love, Collection lasting perfection); make sure you get a darker tone if you're going abroad purely for the tanning process, last thing you want when it's boiling hot is foundation clogging your pores and it dripping down your face with sweat included. If you're on holiday then in the evenings, we would use a bronzer (Nicole uses, Illamasqua bronzer all over her face to give her a lovely golden glow; and it has no shimmer added which is great) and then a little mascara to open up your eyes and thats our idea of the perfect summer make up. We vote let those freckles show.

2. Skin care
Whats best about summer is you're skin is in better condition than the rest of the seasons, you're more glowy, moisturised and soft. You need less creams and a less strict skin care routine. During the day we recommend Hawaiian tropic! (We both wear: Hawaiian tropic tanning oil). Tanning oil is great, it helps the sun tan your skin better than lotion, it still protects your skin from the sun and it's enriched with coconut oil and aloe vera so it moisturises all at the same time. It smells like holiday; as soon as it comes out the bottle, you get the smell of holiday, it has a way of making you feel happy too. We then use (Hawaiian tropic after sun) after sun is great for making your skin soft whilst protecting your skin after being out of the sun, this means you can pop away your palmers cocoa butter and E45 creams for the summer as you have no use for them, well on the days you've been out in the sun anyway.
3. Clothing
Stop thinking about the kids wardrobe and think of your own for once, If you're like us and not long had babies, then you'll probably be a little self conscious of your body, go and treat yourself, get your confidence back, (Nicole wears swimsuits as she's not ready to get her tummy out yet, this one is great for slimming "click here"). If you are slightly less bothered but still slightly unconfident a high wasted swimming costume like this "click here"). Then finally a colourful bikini (Jodie wears bikinis and loves this one "click here"
Get some nice dresses too.
4. Food and drink
Mocktails are a must this summer, okay so now you have a baby have a pitcher of mojito, pimms or pina colada in the afternoon is frowned upon with baby present, but Marks and Spencers offer these amazing mocktails and we've tried them and they're delicious (unfortunately they're only available in store so cannot add a link, they're in with the fresh juices) Get some "adult" only ice lollies (We've tried and tested these: smooze coconut - also available in mango).
Make sure you stop and think about yourselves this summer, have fun, and do what makes you happy!
