10 things we should all tell our children
20:53
Right from a very young age our children are taking in everything about the way we talk to them. They are taking in the tone of voice we speak in, our mannerisms, the way in which we talk to them and the actual words that leave our mouths. There are so many little sentences that we should say to our children as often as possible. And we all know that sometimes we get caught out in what we say and feel afterwards that we should of said things a little differently. I try to make effort everyday to tell my child some inspiring words even if it feels as though she isn't listening to me. Those ten little sentences are little words that I will tell my daughter as often as possible.
Here's our top ten things that every child deserves to hear:
1. It's okay, I am here for you.
2. It's okay, you are allowed to feel disappointed or sad, I will stay here with you and help you.
3. I am so proud of you.
4. You are so clever and smart and kind.
5. If you put your mind to it you can do whatever you want to do, I believe in you.
6. It is okay to ask for help, I can help you.
7. You are worthy.
8. You are a wonderful little human being and you make me smile.
9. I am so happy for you, you should be so proud of yourself.
10. I am listening.
Do you have any you can add to this list?

ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! Florence gets showered with 'I love you' 'You're so beautiful' and 'Mummy's here' each and everyday alongside COPIOUS amounts of kisses and cuddles (whether she wants them or not hehe!)
ReplyDeleteI always tell my daughter that she's my sweet, sweet baby or my sweet little girl.
